THANKS: To our other heroes

| December 9, 2015 8:00 PM

We talk about policemen and firemen as being unsung heroes; we tend to forget about some of the other heroes out there. We need to say thank you to the entire Laborers who are working diligently to restore normalcy to all of us.

To the other unsung heroes out there who brave the elements, to restore our homes during this difficult time that Mother Nature decided to throw at us. We wish to send a heartfelt thanks to all of you brothers and sisters for your efforts in all of this. We know you would much rather be home with your families, than working long hours to put us back on track.

So from the North Idaho Central Labor Council, your Union brothers and sisters of the Ironworkers, United Steelworkers, Communication Workers, United Food and Commercial Workers, Laborers, Firefighters, Teamsters, American Federation of State and Municipal Employees and your fellow Electrical workers, we wish to give thanks to all of you for your efforts in restoring telephone, cable, etc., to your neighbors and friends.

So if you happen to see some of these brave people out there, because we have a ways to go, offer them your heartfelt thanks and maybe a cup of hot coffee.
