Lillian Agnes Birdsall, 87

| December 9, 2015 8:00 PM

With heavy hearts we remember Lillian Agnes Birdsall, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 2, 2015.

Lillian was born Sept. 28, 1928 to Alfred and Aurore Chenette in Worcester, Mass. One of three lovely daughters, Lillian married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) E. Birdsall, on Feb. 7, 1947.

Obeying the good Lord and His timeless commandment to be fruitful and multiply, they had nine lovely children: Robert C. Birdsall, Carol Abelow, Bruce and (Debbie) Birdsall, Kathy Halstead, Aurore and (Bernie) Markell, Helen Ericksen and (Paul Fisher), Barbara and (Jimmy) McCart, Archie and (Jodi) Birdsall, and Fred and (Darcy) Birdsall.

Lillian kept the books for the family company, Birdsall Construction, and in 1976 Bob and Lil moved the kids and the company from California to Idaho.

Lillian was 20 pounds of tough love in a five-pound sack, and she was known for her infectious laugh and beaming smile. She loved to square dance, play cards and Scrabble, and remained on a local bowling league well into her senior years. Her charitable works included volunteering for election boards, the local Grange, senior center and church.

Her legacy is one of love for the Lord Jesus and His teachings and her ever-growing family; who were her strength, joy and hope.

Lillian is survived by her two sisters, Beatrice and Lorainne; her nine children, 25 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren; who will be celebrating her life and the love they enjoyed while she was with us at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at Candlelight Fellowship in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
