Vincent Corley Thompson, 24, from Clark Fork, Idaho, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 in Post Falls, Idaho due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. PST on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at the Cabinet Mountain Calvary Chapel in Clark Fork, Idaho with Pastor Scott Douglas officiating. A potluck reception will follow. All of his friends and family are welcome to attend.

Vincent was born in Akron, Ohio, on Nov. 9, 1991. He moved to North Idaho with his mother at age five, attended Hope Elementary School, Clark Fork Jr. and Sr. High School, and graduated in 2010. He attended North Idaho College and worked at Huntwood Furniture. Recently, he had been researching new business ideas as his love and drive for entrepreneurship grew.

Vincent had an unparalleled social life; his friends can be found far and wide across the United States. Vince had the uncanny ability to put a smile on everyone’s face, and to draw everyone he met into his friendship circle. Second to his enjoyable social life, Vince loved to express himself artistically. His passion for drawing and sketching was legendary; his work can be found in every one of his notebooks, and randomly appears in the notebooks of his friends and family.

Vincent also had an adventuresome woodsman spirit. He spent a lot of time hiking in the North Idaho wilderness with his friends and family. In his spare time, he played the drums, listened to music, and built computer systems.

He is survived by his parents Cyndi and Mike Gerstenberger of Clark Fork, Rodrick Corley Cromer Jr. (Billi) and Melinda May Cromer of Ohio; siblings Ashley, Brandon, and Bronson Gerstenberger all of Sandpoint, Sheena Bailey of Sandpoint, Lee Lamson, Racquel Hines, and Kalib Landon Cromer all of Ohio; grandparents Linda and Charlie Zido of Clark Fork, and Bill Cromer of Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his brother Seth Niles Cromer and his grandmother Karen Cromer, both of Ohio. Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint is handling the arrangements. Please visit Vincent’s online memorial at www.lakeviewfuneral.com and sign his guest book.
