REBUTTAL: Hitler was no Christian

| December 4, 2015 8:00 PM

Mr. Edwards, after reading your opinion in The Press regarding Christianity, I too feel I need to respond.

First, you say you are a Christian because you were born into a culture where Christianity was the major religion.

Well Mr. Edwards, in order to say you are a Christian you must accept the fact that you are a sinner, ask forgiveness, by changing your ways and accepting Jesus Christ into your heart. Then you can call yourself a Christian or follower of Christ. It is not a culture, it is a way of life

The only thing you were born into was a free country. After that the decisions were yours.

Hitler and his Nazi friends were not followers of Christ. They had a goal and did not care how they achieved that goal. Perhaps Hitler remained baptized as I don’t know how you could take away your baptism, but that does not mean the Lord was with him, or forgave him. Many people are baptized today who don’t have Jesus, and they only get wet.

By the way, I don’t know that Christians worship the first five books of the Old Testament.

These are history of how God formed the Earth, created the birds, animals and man.

Also of the need to destroy the Earth because of man’s sinfulness, which will happen again because of man’s sin. Christianity is not culture. Man creates his culture. God Bless America.
