Riviera Walk in Riverstone to receive national awards

ActiveWest Builder’s newest community, Riviera Walk in Riverstone, will receive two 2016 national awards in January. The National Association of Home Builders selected Riviera Walk as a finalist in the “Best Detached Home — up to 1,700 sq ft. category and the “Best For Sale — up to 200 Homes” category.

“Our judges were challenged with reviewing many quality entries, and determining which projects showed innovation or stood out above others was not easy. Becoming a finalist is a great honor and ActiveWest can be extremely proud of their accomplishment. It’s also a great selling point in today’s evolving housing market,” said Lynn Bass, NAHB senior manager.

The Coeur d’Alene-based builder’s other local projects include Meadow Ranch and The Circuit @ Seltice.

Sharon Cunningham, ActiveWest’s sales and marketing director and a local real estate agent, said it’s an honor to receive this recognition alongside prominent builders and architects from across the country such as Fortune 500 builder KB Home and the architects and planners at KTGY Group.

“Last year Rivera Walk was recognized in the same categories but ‘On the Boards,’” Cunningham said. “Now that we have new homes built with folks living in them, we hope to win again. However, it’s not so much winning as it is the satisfaction of recognition by a national panel of judges in the industry.

That keeps us focused and pushing ahead to maintain the most current cutting edge building practices and communities that we can.”

The awards ceremony will take place in January at the Renaissance Hotel, Las Vegas during the International Builders Show. Finalists will receive either a Gold, Silver or Innovation award.
