Showing love, gratitude on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is almost here, and it is a great time to think about our loved ones and the special gift of love and companionship they bring.

Where did this holiday come from? It turns out that in Roman times, a priest named Valentine disobeyed the emperor and married soldiers before they went off to war. Later he became a saint, and this began the tradition of Valentine's Day. Luckily, my husband never had to go off to war, but he has travelled a lot over the years and I always look forward to his return.

There is nothing more important to me than my husband! He is my rock. He lifts me up and will literally go to all ends of the earth for the kids and me. When I set a goal, he is the first to cheer me on to reach for the stars. He makes sure I have what I need to achieve whatever my dreams may be. Who could ask for a better partner?

Valentine's Day is my day to tell my husband that I love him, and hold hands while we share our day together. It doesn't have to be about buying extravagant gifts. It is about being together and showing gratitude by holding hands, sharing hugs, and enjoying the journey called "life" together. I wish you all a happy Valentine's Day! Be sure to give those you love an extra kiss and hug, so they feel loved on this special day.

Still looking for a unique and special gift? We have super-soft and cuddly alpaca bears and stuffed alpacas. We also have warm alpaca socks, if you prefer to give a more practical gift. How about a pair of warm socks and a date walking around Tubbs Hill? Many of our customers who knit are making special handmade scarves and hats for their loved ones. They say there's a little love in every stitch.
