Post Falls pounds Hanford

| October 12, 2013 9:00 PM

RICHLAND, Wash. - After jumping out to a 16-0 lead, Post Falls stayed in control in defeating Hanford 37-6 in a nonleague game Fridan night at Fran Rish Stadium.

Post Falls (4-3) had two touchdown passes from Joey Pfennigs to wide receiver Mike McKeown.

Pfennigs ran for 104 yards and a touchdown and threw for 210 and three more. McKeown caught five passes for 124 yards.

"We opened the game on all cylinders," Trojans coach Jeff Hinz said. "Our defense played great in the first half, we only allowed one first down in the half. We only allowed three first downs in three quarters. Josh Kennedy played well along our defensive front, and Dylan Haag and Alex Gibson played real well anchoring the defensive line for us. Our offense put points on the board."

Hinz said Marc Conradi and Patrick Agueros both ran the ball well.

"We had no answer for that guy (Pfennigs)," Hanford coach Rob Oram told the Tri-City Herald newspaper. "Completely different caliber of athlete."

Post Falls hosts Richland (Wash.) on Friday.
