Rays' Price earns win No. 12

David Price outpitched Clay Buchholz and the Tampa Bay Rays scored twice in the seventh inning without a hit for a 5-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night at St. Petersburg, Fla.

Price (12-4) allowed three runs and six hits in 7 1/3 innings to become the first 12-game winner in the American League.

Blue Jays 11, Indians 9: Edwin Encarnacion hit two home runs to lift Toronto past visiting Cleveland.

Athletics 9, Twins 3: At Minneapolis, Chris Carter and Yoenis Cespedes each homered and drove in three runs, powering Oakland past Minnesota.

Orioles 8, Tigers 6, 13 inn.: Taylor Teagarden hit a two-run homer in the 13th, lifting host Baltimore past Detroit.

Royals 6, White Sox 3: Alcides Escobar hit a pair of homers, leading host Kansas City past Chicago.

Yankees 5, Angels 3: Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson each hit two-run homers, leading New York past visiting Los Angeles.

Cubs 4, Diamondbacks 1: Ryan Dempster pitched six solid innings and host Chicago beat Arizona.

Padres 7, Dodgers 6: Everth Cabrera stole home to tie the game with two out in the ninth and Will Venable came around with the winning run when closer Kenley Jansen threw the ball past catcher A.J. Ellis, leading San Diego at Los Angeles.

Marlins 2, Nationals 1: Mark Buehrle pitched seven strong innings and host Miami beat Washington.

Braves 8, Mets 7: Jason Heyward singled to cap a three-run rally in the eighth and host Atlanta beat New York.

Reds 3, Cardinals 2, 10 inn.: Ryan Ludwick homered in the 10th and Cincinnati beat visiting St. Louis.

Pirates 6, Brewers 4: Andrew McCutchen and Casey McGehee both homered, leading Pittsburgh at Milwaukee.

Giants 3, Astros 2, 12 inn.: Hector Sanchez singled in Pablo Sandoval in the bottom of the 12th, lifting host San Francisco past Houston.

Phillies 8, Rockies 5: At Denver, Carlos Ruiz hit a three-run homer and Philadelphia beat Colorado.
