COEUR d'ALENE - Casey Stangel hit two home runs in the opener, struck out seven and also picked up a win and three RBIs in Game 2 as the Lake City Timberwolves swept a pair from the Lewiston Bengals on Monday in Inland Empire League play.

Katie Rowe hit a home run and had two RBIs in the second game for Lake City (13-1, 7-0 IEL), which travels to Post Falls today for a doubleheader vs. the Trojans starting at 2 p.m.

ST. MARIES - Marlee Masterson went 2 for 4 with four RBIs, Chelsea Grosvenor hit a 2-RBI triple in fourth and the Lumberjacks defeated Moscow's junior varsity.

"It was senior night, and we got a good win under our belt - a good memory for our seniors," St. Maries coach Todd Bitterman said. "We got to utilize all our arms and get them some time on the mound."

The Lumberjacks took advantage of eight walks and six errors by Moscow.

St. Maries (5-8) is at Priest River for an IML doubleheader on Saturday.
