A motorcyclist was injured in a crash last night.

Officers responded to the area of Lancaster Road and Highway 95 around 11 p.m. after receiving a report of an injury accident. The motorcycle was reportedly in the middle of the roadway, along with the lone driver, who was identified as Christopher A. Koker of Hauser.

Koker, 61, was traveling northbound on Highway 95 and turning west onto Lancaster Road when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. He was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered head and facial injuries.

Koker was wearing a helmet. He was transported to Kootenai Health for his injuries.

Based on the initial investigation, police said it appears that alcohol was a factor in the accident.

The accident is still being investigated.
