• Cafe Carambola in Coeur d’Alene was named the “Best Budget Restaurant in Idaho” by Buzzfeed. It partnered with Yelp to build an algorithm that ranks the site’s reviews. Cafe Carambola ranked as the best restaurant in Idaho with an under-$30 menu.

• A boy riding a bicycle was injured in a hit-and-run on Highway 54 in Athol on Monday night. He was transported to Kootenai Health with non-life threatening injuries after being struck at 8:44 p.m. by a dark pickup, Idaho State Police said. The boy was riding on the shoulder of the highway’s west lane. The collision broke the glass of the passenger-side mirror. Witnesses are urged to call ISP at 208-772-6055.

• Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d'Alene will host a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action National Day of Remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m. on Sept. 20, at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave. Parents are urged to bring their children.
