Cd’A Police Department releases names of officers involved in July 4 shooting

The following police officers were involved in the July 4 shooting in City Park, just as the fireworks show was ending in downtown Coeur d’Alene:

• Justin Bangs (12 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 17 years total in law enforcement)

• Jacob Brazle (2 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 6 years total in law enforcement)

• Kyle Cannon (5 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 7 years total in law enforcement)

• Matthew Edwards (2 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 4 years total in law enforcement)

• Ryan Germain (2.5 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 2.5 years total in law enforcement)

• Nathan Herbig (2 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 8 years total in law enforcement)

• Jacob Proctor (4 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 4 years total in law enforcement)

• Casey Ziegler (2.5 years with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 5.5 years total in law enforcement)

The Idaho State Police and the Region 1 Critical Incident Taskforce continue to investigate this incident.
