HATE SPEECH: Don’t promote it

Print Article

It was heartening to see the newspaper choose to headline the proclamation by the mayor denouncing hate speech in Coeur d’Alene. However, it was very disheartening to see that the newspaper chose to publish the various hate speech fliers that have been circulated in this area. In doing so, the Coeur d’Alene Press gave both eyes and voice to the ugliness of hatred. I am deeply disappointed in this choice. I commend the work of Laura Tenneson and Christie Wood!
