LEVY: Time to cut the pork

Print Article

This Lakeland levy is only the first school levy I’ve seen go down in the 19+ years we’ve lived here! I can see a lot of money could be saved from taxpayers pockets besides levies going down, cut the number of public school districts in Idaho down to 44 from 115, which is a total rip off of taxpayers! Forty-four county public school districts only. No more.

Cut the pork, especially for fixed income senior taxpayers with no children or grandchildren in Idaho public schools. Idaho needs to smarten up, smell the coffee, cut the pork, and also put sales tax back to 5 cents, eliminate state income taxes and eliminate tax on food!
