CORRIDOR: A very unhealthy word

Print Article

The next time you see the word “corridor” in this newspaper, get a very firm grip on your wallet. We’re probably still lost somewhere in the midst of the “education corridor.” And the latest aberration is the promotion of a “health corridor.” The movers and shakers, promoters and politicians are working hard to find ways to feather their own nests and spend money. Your money.

It seems to me that the idea of developing 175 acres surrounding Kootenai Health in the name of a “health corridor” is ridiculous. ABSURD! There are hundreds of acres of undeveloped land in Kootenai County cities, as well as the county, itself.

But oblivious to common sense, health corridor “design workshops” and plans continue. What a joke! Speak up, folks!
