We read in The Press how Idaho State Police boasted that they arrested 62 DUIs. Here’s what we went through.
On Dec. 16, a Friday night at 1:30 a.m., my wife woke me up to get our daughter meds at Walmart in Hayden. She has breathing issues. I was stopped near George Gee on U.S. 95. The inexperienced rookie ISP clown saw my red-tired eyes and said “you been drinking?” I said, “No.” “You been smoking pot?” I said “No.” So I do a BAC and pass. He puts me in handcuffs (I was hurt in the military — he didn’t care.) Went to jail. I took a urine test. The incompetent individual kept repeating, “I believe it’s more.” He was wrong. I bonded out, paid to get my truck out of tow (bond $150, tow $250).
Fast forward: On May 28, the state dismissed my charge.
Do not trust the ISP. As I write this we are suing ISP for false arrest and that is just the beginning.
