The Mayor's Task Force on Climate Action and Adaptation Planning will discuss its progress on a climate action plan at noon Tuesday at the Columbia Public Library, 100 W. Broadway, according to a news release from the League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County.

The league is hosting the program during their monthly Lunch & Learn meeting in the Friends Room at the library, according to the release.

Jay Hasheider, chair of the task force, is the event's guest speaker and will present the group's climate action plan, which will be delivered to the Columbia City Council by this summer, according to the release.

The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will not be provided at the event, but attendees are welcome to bring their own food or purchase refreshments at the library.

Additional information on the task force can be found at the City of Columbia Office of Sustainability's website.
