Hundreds of vets expected at Saturday's stand down

COEUR d'ALENE — The North Idaho Veterans Stand Down is scheduled 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.

The resource, health and benefits fair assists veterans, service members and their families with clothing, haircuts, bike repairs, medical and veterinary care, dental and legal services, counseling, food assistance and more.

Breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

Organizers said about 350 veterans attended last year and even more are expected this year.
