National Day of Prayer on Thursday in Coeur d'Alene

The National Day of Prayer by the Kootenai County Ministerial Association is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday at McEuen Park Veterans Memorial Plaza.

It includes music and prayers from local pastors. Each will pray for different areas including branches of government, elected leaders, law enforcement and the salvation of souls.

About 300 people attended last year, and another large crowd is expected this year.

The weather forecast for Thursday is partly sunny skies with a chance of rain and highs in the 50s.
