While drivers get accustomed to those new traffic circles on Seltice Way between Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls, they might also notice the extensive development of the Mill River community.

Featuring a wide assortment of apartments, condos and unique craftsman-style homes on secondary waterfront, Mill River offers a variety of living options near a gorgeous stretch of the Spokane River.

“It’s a great spot and demand is really good right now,” said Nate Grossglauser, a Realtor with Professional Realty Services who represents a home in the development. “It’s definitely about the location… secondary waterfront plus close access to the city. People like to be able to walk along the river there.”

Johnson Mill River is a two-acre, city-maintained park along the river with a swimming beach, day use boat dock, fishing and observation areas, restrooms, picnic shelter and off-street parking. Additionally, certain buyers in the Mill River area have access to another private park area and beach with bathrooms, green space and volleyball court, Grossglauser said.

Just a couple minutes from the dining, shopping and entertainment options at Riverstone, Mill River is turning into its own unique community with the potential for similar development at the nearby Atlas Waterfront site. Proposed plans by the city of Coeur d’Alene include connecting the Riverstone and Mill River areas along much of the area’s waterfront.

Homes in Mill River are fresh Craftsman-style homes, some with bold colors, and many featuring carriage/in-law bonus residences. A couple of spacious, three- and four-bedroom homes with bonus carriage houses recently available have been listed at $519,000 and $529,900, respectively. Another even larger home in the 3,500+ square feet range was listed at just under $700,000. Grossglauser said the area especially appeals to retirees, but there’s a good mix of families as well.

On the nearby condominium front, an active listing with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and 1,288 square feet was listed at $319,000.

Mill River also offers some rental options in the form of apartments. On the north side of Seltice sits RiverView at Mill River with a variety of different options. Those interested should contact the management for more details on availability, but the website did list a two-bedroom “Upper Villa” unit coming available at the end of August for $1,100/month. Call 208-664-5700 or visit www.RiverViewApts.net for more information.

On the south side of Seltice is The Residence at Mill River, featuring 1-3 bedroom apartments ranging in prices from $925 up to around $1,300. Like RiverView, there are numerous amenities included in the rental price. Contact them at 208-252-9946 or visit www.ResMillRiver.com.

For more information on available homes in the Mill River area, contact Nate Grossglauser at 208-640-1615 or email RealEstateNateG@gmail.com.
