Turkeys & More appreciates recent donors for Thanksgiving turkeys. Founder Evalyn Adams said they are grateful others in the community want to Fight Hunger and Feed Hope. So many people are facing tight budgets these days, the nonprofit group wants to serve 200 more in November, for a total of 2,000 families. She emphasized about 10,000 people will enjoy eating with family and friends on this special holiday. Although some nice contributions have come in, it will take a lot more to reach the goal of raising $60,000. Only 1/4 of the budget has been secured so far and turkeys have already been ordered. Donations can be made online by going to the website at turkeysandmore.org or checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 267, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816. With additional help, Turkeys & More will be able to distribute the birds to more than 20 food banks and agencies providing help for vulnerable families in Kootenai County. Adams welcomes calls from anyone who has questions at 208-765-5535 or email evalynera@hotmail.com.
