The Cloughs of Dalton Gardens said pack goats have allowed John Clough to continue his passion for hiking and hunting in Idaho's backcountry despite having arthritis in his spine that prevents him from packing heavy loads. The goats can pack as much as 25 percent of their body weight - around 80 pounds - for as many as 8 miles at a time.
