Fisherman discovers deceased Individual in Hayden Lake

A deceased individual was found in Hayden Lake on Sunday morning.

A fisherman reported discovering a body floating near Henry Point about 11 a.m., according to a Kootenai County Sheriff's Office press release.

Deputies deployed a drone to locate the individual and then utilized a marine vessel to confirm the death and recover the body, the release said.

Preliminary investigation indicates no signs of foul play, the release said.

The cause of death remains under investigation.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
