Juvenile dies in vehicle fire

A juvenile died and a St. Maries man was injured in a vehicle fire early Sunday.

According to the Idaho State Police, the incident occurred about 1 p.m. on Reeds Creek Road in Benewah County.

The driver, 60, was transported to a hospital via Life Flight with serious injuries. One juvenile passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene, ISP said. 

"Another juvenile passenger, with no apparent injuries, was released from the scene to a responsible adult," a press release said.

An investigation continues.
