| April 5, 2024 1:00 AM

The Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel will put a special spin on spring as road warrior band 38 Special brings its brand of classic rock to the venue’s showroom at 7 p.m. April 18.

After more than four decades together, 38 Special continues to bring its signature blast of Southern rock to over 100 cities a year. The band pleases audiences with explosive performances of hits from its gold and platinum albums. 38 Special is known for songs including, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One” and more.

Guitarist/vocalist Don Barnes said the group plays with passion.

“We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft or complacent over the years," he said in a Monday news release. "We’re a team, and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.”

The show is part of the Coeur Stars entertainment series at the casino resort, which regularly hosts concerts, comedians, tribute artists and other events.

Tickets start at $80 and are on sale at cdacasino.com/event/38-special/ with a limited number of hotel and ticket packages also available.
