Crash victim identified

COEUR d’ALENE — Police have identified a man who died in a single-car crash last week.

Kerry S. Speight, 74, of Vancouver, Wash., was reportedly traveling westbound in the alley between Wallace Avenue and Garden Avenue around 8:50 a.m. Saturday when he crossed 3rd Street and collided with a closed garage door.

Police said Speight experienced a fatal medical event prior to the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
