Kenneth Allen Frejlach, 79

Kenneth Allen Frejlach was born on March 28, 1937, in Elmwood Park, Ill., to Allen and Audrey Frejlach. He passed away into the loving arms of his Savior on Feb. 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family after a long hard fight with pulmonary fibrosis brought on by rheumatoid arthritis, which was a complication of hemochromatosis.

Ken grew up and also graduated from high school in Boulder City, Nev. Ken married his first wife, Christine, in 1959 and with that union Ken had three children. Christine passed away in 1997 from pancreatic cancer. Shortly after that Ken met Karen Hill and they married on Jan. 10, 1998.

Ken was involved in commercial real estate sales and development in Southern California and Mexico before moving to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 1992. He then ventured out to do some TV commercials and also authored a book, “Take No Memories.”

Ken is survived by his wife, Karen; Ken’s five children, Kevin and wife Julie, Kendra and husband Cass, Kurt and wife Lindee, Shelley and husband Vince, and Kristi; Ken’s loving grandchildren, Christopher, Blake, Bryce, Christina, Allen, Daniel, Brock, Taylor, Brooke, Olivia and Carter; three great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Karen, Gary, Bonnie and Charlene.

Ken’s greatest joy in life was his family. Ken was a doting husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him terribly.

At Ken’s request, there will be no funeral service. There is an open house scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at the home of Ken and Colleen Bircher, 12 Birch Road, Kingston, Idaho. Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Ken’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
