Lisa Haycraft Elliott, 46

| February 11, 2014 11:02 AM

Lisa Haycraft Elliott, 46, of Meridian, ID was born on April 17, 1967, in Port Angeles, Wash., to Charles and Bonnie Haycraft. Lisa went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2014, after a long battle with Lupus.

When Lisa was five years old she began snow skiing. Her first day out, Lisa took off on her skis and no one could keep up with her. She was yelling at people that she was coming and to get out of the way. When she was 10 her family moved to Coeur d'Alene, and she started school at Bryan Elementary and enjoyed skiing at Silver Mountain. She was also an artist that loved to paint. Lisa graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School, class of '85, and attended NIC.

Lisa met and married the love of her life, Tom Elliott, and they moved to Tacoma, Wash., where they started their beautiful family. At this time she began having serious health issues and was diagnosed with Lupus, two kinds of painful arthritis. The problems increased, and the doctors said her health might improve if she moved to a dryer climate. So, they moved to Meridian. They loved the area, but Lisa's health continued to deteriorate. We are now thankful that our dear Father in Heaven has her with him, and there will be no more suffering.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Tom, at home; children: Mindy, Christopher, Nicholas, Emily, Alex, Hannah and Joana; mother, Bonnie Haycraft of Coeur d'Alene; brother, Terry Haycraft, of San Francisco, Calif., and an aunt, Dixie Braun, of Coeur d'Alene. Lisa is preceded in death by her grandparents: Ray and Dorothy Hahner, and her father, Charles Haycraft.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Feb. 15, at Coeur d'Alene Bible Church, 5350 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene. Lisa's final resting place is Meridian, ID.
