Unified Land Use Code comments sought

Kootenai County Planning Commission is accepting public comments on the final draft of the Unified Land Use Code that was released to the public on Tuesday.

The commission will allow 60 days of public comments before its scheduled public hearing on the issue. The public hearing will be conducted over the course of four days beginning at 6:00 p.m. on June 17 through June 20 in the Kootenai County Administration Building, Meeting Room 1.

Electronic copies of the proposed draft ULUC may be viewed online at: http://www.zoningplus.com/regs/kootenai/

The county will also make hard copies available at the front counter of Community Development and the local libraries. Paper copies of the proposal are also available for purchase (for the cost of production) upon request.

Written comments may be submitted online at the address above or in the county's Community Development Office prior to the public hearing. Comments can also be emailed to kcpz@kcgov.us. Oral and written comments will also be accepted during the Planning Commission hearing process.
