Sharon Wilson, 62
Our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend Sharon A. Wilson, 62, has ended her courageous struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’Äôs disease) on April 8, 2008.
Sharon Ann Wilson was born March 3, 1946, in Spokane. Sharon married William ’ÄúFrank’Äù Wilson Sept. 26, 1964, they were married for 43 years. She lived in Coeur d’ÄôAlene where she raised her family and worked as a ’Äúlunch lady’Äù for the Coeur d’ÄôAlene School District from which she retired in 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma (Dale) and Ameson ’ÄúJess’Äù Hensler; brother Howard Hensler.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, William ’ÄúFrank’Äù Wilson; children, Joe and Laura Wilson of Coeur d’ÄôAlene, Rick and Michelle Mooney of McCall, Idaho; grandchildren, Becky Stone, JB Wilson, Nathan and Ryan Reinhardt, Cassie Wilson, Payton, Cael and Quinn Mooney; sisters, Donna Anderson, Hillsboro, Ore., Ron and Shirley Kin, Dalles, Ore., Bob and Dorris Baldwin, Portland, Ore., Beverly Knapp, Cocolalla, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was known among her family and friends as Motor Mouth ’ÄúMote.’Äù She had a warped sense of humor that always kept us laughing. She touched many lives and has left an everlasting fingerprint on our hearts. She was the kindest most giving individual always putting everyone’Äôs needs before her own. Even in her own time of illness her biggest worry was that her husband and children had not come to terms with the reality of the disease that would eventually take her life.
Sharon was a devoted grandmother who attended all events and milestones not even her debilitating disease was able to slow her down. She was a regular at Bingo, where she made many special friends.
At her request a celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Eagles No. 4080, located at 1600 W. Wyoming Ave., Hayden Lake. We hope everyone whose life was touched by Sharon will come to share their memories and celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Sharon Wilson to the ALSA Evergreen Chapter at 19110 66th Ave. S #G-101, Kent, WA 98032.
